The Founders

VENeffect was founded by sisters Rebecca Booth, M.D., a nationally recognized gynecologist and hormonal wellness expert, and Cecil Booth, a skin care expert with twenty years of beauty industry experience. They discovered that while all women are affected by hormonal aging, there is little awareness of this universal issue and few solutions in the beauty world. VENeffect is the breakthrough anti-aging solution they developed to reverse the signs of hormonal aging and restore skin to peak hormonal vitality.

Dr. Rebecca Booth

Rebecca Booth, M.D. is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has been practicing medicine for more than 25 years.

Rebecca was named one of Louisville, Kentucky's most cutting edge doctors, she is a senior partner in one of the region's largest OB/GYN practices, Women First of Louisville. Dr. Booth treats over 90 patients a week. In addition, she serves her community of women by speaking to organizations about female health issues and hormonal challenges, participating in radio and television segments on women's health and through contributions to women's publications.

Dr. Booth is the author of The Venus Week: Discover the Powerful Secret of Your Cycle...At Any Age (Da Capo Lifelong Books, 2008). In The Venus Week, Dr. Booth communicates hormonal changes to women in a way they can understand and empowers them with the knowledge to live well every week of the month. The Venus Week is her metaphor for the week of the month when women experience a peak in estrogen (the "feel-good" hormone) and testosterone (the hormone of "desire"), resulting in enhanced interactions with the world around them. The book unlocks the secret of this optimal hormonal "recipe," providing uplifting insights that don't necessarily end with menopause.

Recognized as a leader in women's health and hormonal wellness, Dr. Booth has made appearances on The Today Show and is regularly quoted in major national media, including O, The Oprah Magazine, Redbook, Shape, Seventeen, Natural Health and Men's Health. She is a contributor on TheHuffingtonPost.com and has also been published in leading medical journals on topics that include preventative health care for women, menopause and hormonal management.

Dr. Booth is a fellow in the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, a member of the American Medical Association, The Kentucky Medical Association, The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.

Dr. Booth lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband and two children.
